Antidetect browser guide

Multilogin proxy setup

Multilogin X lets you attach your own HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy to each browser profile. This guide shows how to add one IPMusk proxy, load a list, and keep timezone and WebRTC in line with the IP.

Which IPMusk proxy to pick

  • Long-lived accounts (stores, ad accounts, social): Static ISP. One profile gets one fixed IP, so the same address shows up every day.
  • Short tasks: sticky residential. A line keeps the same IP for 1, 3, 10 or 30 minutes. Use 30 minutes for anything with a login.
  • Scraping or checks without logins: rotating residential. The IP changes on every request, which would log you out of an account.
  • Cheaper fixed IPs: Datacenter. It is not residential and not ISP, so some sites treat it more strictly.
  • Give each profile its own static IP. Do not share one across many profiles.

What you need

  • A Multilogin X account and the desktop app. Multilogin 6 is a different product and is not covered here.
  • An IPMusk proxy line.
  • Residential: dashboard → Residential → Connect (/app/residential/connect). Pick country, session type and protocol, then copy the line.
  • Static ISP or Datacenter: dashboard → Static ISP → Proxies (/app/isp/proxies) or Datacenter → Proxies (/app/datacenter/proxies). Open a proxy to see its host, port, username and password.
  • Placeholders used below: PROXY_HOST, PORT, USERNAME, PASSWORD.

Add a proxy to one profile

  1. 1
    Open the profile settings

Go to Profiles, then Browser, and create a new profile or edit an existing one.

  2. 2
    Find the Proxy section

Scroll to the Proxy section of the profile.

  3. 3
    Choose Custom

This is the option for your own proxy, not Multilogin's built-in ones.

  4. 4
    Pick the protocol

Choose HTTP for Static ISP and Datacenter. For residential, choose HTTP or SOCKS5 to match the protocol you selected on the Connect page.

  5. 5
    Enter the details

Put PROXY_HOST and PORT in the address fields, then USERNAME and PASSWORD in the login fields. The protocol has its own control, so leave http:// out of the address.

  6. 6
    Check the proxy

Click the proxy check button if your version shows one. A pass means Multilogin reached the proxy and read the IP details.

  7. 7
    Save and launch

Create or update the profile, then start it.

Add many proxies at once

Multilogin X has no dedicated proxy file import. The closest option is a proxy template.

  1. 1
    Open Proxy templates

Click Proxy templates in the left menu, then Create. Templates may need a paid plan, so check your plan.

  2. 2
    Name it and choose Custom

Pick the protocol (HTTP or SOCKS5).

  3. 3
    Choose Proxy list

Paste up to 25 lines, one per line. This matches IPMusk's host:port:user:pass line format.

  4. 4
    Set the order

    Choose sequential or random.

  5. 5
    Check and create

    Click Check proxy, then Create.

  6. 6
    Assign profiles

Select the template, click Manage assigned profiles, and tick the profiles.

Line format
PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD

A list rotates through its lines, so it cannot pin one IP to one profile. For account profiles, make one single-proxy template per Static ISP proxy. More than 25 lines needs several templates.

Match the fingerprint to the proxy

  • Timezone: keep it on Masked (the default). It follows the proxy's location.
  • Geolocation data: keep it on Masked. It gives coordinates near the proxy's area. Geolocation access can stay on Prompt.
  • Languages: Masked is the default. Choose Custom if the account needs a language that fits the IP's country.
  • WebRTC: keep it on Masked, which aligns the WebRTC IP with the proxy. Avoid Real. Disabled also works, but it can break video calls.

Check it works

  1. 1
    Run the proxy check

Do it in the profile or template before you launch.

  2. 2
    Launch the profile

Open a plain IP-check page in it.

  3. 3
    Compare IP and country

They should match what the IPMusk dashboard shows for that proxy.

  4. 4
    Check timezone and WebRTC

On the same checker, both should match the IP's country, and WebRTC should not show your home IP.

If it fails

  • Auth error or 407: retype USERNAME and PASSWORD with no spaces, or copy them again from IPMusk.
  • Timeout or no connection: the protocol may be wrong. Match HTTP or SOCKS5 to the line you copied.
  • Check passes but the site shows the wrong country: the proxy's country is not the one you chose. Pick the right country on the Connect page or use a different Static ISP proxy.
  • Timezone or WebRTC mismatch: set both back to Masked, then restart the profile.
  • Logged out often: you are on a rotating line. Switch to sticky 30 minutes or Static ISP.
