Incogniton proxy setup

Add an IPMusk proxy to an Incogniton profile, bulk-load many into the Proxy Library, and make the profile's timezone, location and WebRTC follow the proxy IP.

Which IPMusk proxy to pick

  • Long-lived accounts (stores, social, ads): a Static ISP proxy, one per profile. The same IP every day keeps the identity stable.
  • Short tasks: sticky Rotating Residential (1, 3, 10 or 30 minutes on one IP).
  • Scraping: rotating residential, a new IP per request. Not for logged-in accounts, because the IP change can break sessions.
  • Lower cost testing: Datacenter is fixed and cheaper but is not residential.

What you need

  • The Incogniton desktop app and an account. Menu names follow Incogniton's documentation and may shift between versions.
  • An IPMusk proxy line.
  • Static ISP or Datacenter: dashboard → Static ISP → Proxies (/app/isp/proxies) or Datacenter → Proxies (/app/datacenter/proxies). Open a proxy to see its host, port, username and password.
  • Residential: dashboard → Residential → Connect (/app/residential/connect). Pick country, session type and protocol, then copy the line.
  • Use the host:port:user:pass line format. It is the one Incogniton reads.

Add a proxy to one profile

  1. 1
    Open the Proxy tab

Create a new profile or edit an existing one, then open its Proxy tab.

  2. 2
    Choose Custom proxy

Do not pick Free proxy or Buy proxy. Those are Incogniton's own options.

  3. 3
    Set the connection type

Pick the HTTP-style option for Static ISP and Datacenter. For residential, match the protocol (HTTP or SOCKS5) you chose in IPMusk.

  4. 4
    Enter the details

Put PROXY_HOST:PORT in the address field, then USERNAME and PASSWORD. You can also paste PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD into the address field and Incogniton fills the rest.

  5. 5
    Click Check

It tests the connection and shows the IP location. Then Save and Launch the profile.

Add many proxies at once

Incogniton stores proxies in a Proxy Library. Fill it first, then attach.

  1. 1
    Open the library

Choose Proxy Library in the left menu and click + New proxy.

  2. 2
    Choose Bulk add

It is at the bottom left of the Add proxy form.

  3. 3
    Paste your list

One proxy per line. This is IPMusk's host:port:user:pass line format, so you can paste an exported list as is. You can also load a CSV file with the same format in each row.

  4. 4
    Set a group and add

Pick a group (or leave Unassigned) and click Add.

  5. 5
    Attach

In each profile's Proxy tab, choose Proxy Library, then Select from Proxy Library. Give each profile its own proxy.

Line format
PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD

Profiles can also be created in bulk from a CSV. Its proxy columns are connection type (HTTP or SOCKS5), proxy URL, username and password. Bad proxy values still import, but the proxy will not work until you fix them.

Match the fingerprint to the proxy

  • Timezone (Browser & Navigator): keep "Fill timezone based on IP" on.
  • Geolocation (Privacy & Network): set to Allow and keep "Fill location based on IP" on.
  • WebRTC (Privacy & Network): use Altered with "Fill WebRTC public IP based on the IP" on. Disabled also hides the IP but some sites detect it. Do not use Real.
  • Language: the navigator languages value should fit the proxy country.

Check it works

  1. 1
    Click Check

Confirm the country on the proxy.

  2. 2
    Launch the profile

Open a public IP-check page. The IP should be the IPMusk one.

  3. 3
    Run a WebRTC leak test

It should not show your home IP.

  4. 4
    Compare timezone and location

The page's timezone and location should match the proxy country.

If it fails

  • Red cross or profile will not launch: confirm the connection type matches the line (HTTP or SOCKS5) and that the port is in the address as ip:port.
  • Authentication error: re-copy USERNAME and PASSWORD with no extra spaces.
  • Check works elsewhere but fails here: turn off the three "based on IP" fills and set timezone, WebRTC and location by hand to match the proxy country.
  • Wrong location shown: open the proxy and switch the Proxy provider dropdown to a backup provider, then Check again. The proxy is fine. The location database differed.
  • Yellow lightning bolt or red bolt: the proxy is slow, not down. Try another IP or a closer country.
  • Logged out often: rotating residential changes IP. Use Static ISP or a sticky line.
