Dolphin{anty} proxy setup

Add an IPMusk proxy to a Dolphin{anty} profile in a few clicks. This guide covers single and bulk setup, matching the fingerprint to the IP, and fixing common errors.

Which IPMusk proxy to pick

  • Long-lived accounts (ads, marketplaces, social): Static ISP. One fixed IP per profile, the same every day.
  • Short tasks: sticky Rotating Residential (up to 30 minutes on one IP).
  • Scraping or checks that do not need a login: Rotating Residential. The IP changes on every request, so logged-in sessions will break.
  • Low-cost, low-risk work: Datacenter is cheaper, but it is not residential and is easier for sites to spot.

What you need

  • Dolphin{anty} installed and signed in. The free plan limits how many proxies you can save, and changing proxies on many profiles at once needs a paid plan. Check your plan.
  • An IPMusk proxy line.
  • Residential: dashboard → Residential → Connect (/app/residential/connect). Pick country, session type and protocol, then copy the line.
  • Static ISP or Datacenter: dashboard → Static ISP → Proxies (/app/isp/proxies) or Datacenter → Proxies (/app/datacenter/proxies). Open a proxy to see its host, port, username and password.
  • Use HTTP for Static ISP and Datacenter. Residential can use HTTP or SOCKS5.

Add a proxy to one profile

  1. 1
    Open the profile form

On the Browser Profiles screen, create a new profile, or use the three-dot menu on an existing one and choose Edit.

  2. 2
    Choose New Proxy

In the proxy field, pick the option for a new proxy.

  3. 3
    Paste the line

Dolphin{anty} reads host:port:username:password and username:password@host:port. Put the protocol in front if you want, for example http://PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD or socks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@PROXY_HOST:PORT.

  4. 4
    Leave the change-IP link empty

Leave the "Link to change IP" field empty. It is optional and these products do not need it.

  5. 5
    Run the check

Click the arrows at the end of the line. It tests the connection and shows location and time zone.

  6. 6
    Save and start

Save the profile, then press Start.

Add many proxies at once

  1. 1
    Use the Proxy screen

Click Add Proxy and enter lines in the same formats. You can add a :name at the end of a line. The help pages show single entries, so test with two lines first to see if your version accepts a list.

  2. 2
    Create profiles in bulk

In the profile creation window, use the mass import template (.xlsx) or Smart Data Import (.txt, .csv, .xlsx) and put one IPMusk line in each row's proxy column. Use Check Data before importing.

  3. 3
    Set the delimiter if needed

In Smart Data Import, click the pencil on the proxy column and pick the separator that matches your file (: ; | TAB SPACE).

  4. 4
    Switch proxies on existing profiles

Tick the profiles, click Change Proxy in the bar at the bottom, and choose a saved proxy. Random picks are available, but for Static ISP keep one proxy per profile.

Line formats
PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD
USERNAME:PASSWORD@PROXY_HOST:PORT
http://PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD
socks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@PROXY_HOST:PORT

Match the fingerprint to the proxy

  • Timezone, Language, Geolocation: keep them on Auto. They are then taken from the proxy IP.
  • WebRTC: set it to Altered so it shows the proxy IP. Avoid Real, which ignores the proxy. Without UDP also blocks leaks if you prefer it.
  • Give each profile its own static IP. Do not share one across many profiles.

Check it works

  1. 1
    Check the status

The proxy should show a working status on the Proxy screen.

  2. 2
    Start the profile

There should be no "Error checking connection to proxy" message.

  3. 3
    Open an IP checker

Confirm the IP and country match the IPMusk line you used.

  4. 4
    Test WebRTC

Run a WebRTC leak test and confirm it shows the proxy IP, not yours.

If it fails

  • Auth error or 407: re-copy the username and password from IPMusk and remove spaces.
  • Wrong protocol or timeout: SOCKS5 needs a socks5:// prefix. For Static ISP and Datacenter use http://. If a SOCKS5 line times out, retry with HTTP.
  • "Error checking connection to proxy": try another network or a phone hotspot to rule out your internet provider.
  • Port or format validation error: use one of the two supported layouts, with no stray spaces.
  • Location looks wrong: IP databases differ. Compare two or three checkers. For residential, make sure the Connect page country matches what you need.
  • Proxy limit reached: delete unused proxies or move to a paid plan.
