BitBrowser proxy setup

Step-by-step setup for using IPMusk proxies in BitBrowser, for one profile or a whole list, with fingerprint settings that follow the proxy IP.

Which IPMusk proxy to pick

  • Static ISP for long-lived accounts. One fixed IP per profile, the same every day. See the Static ISP guide.
  • Sticky residential (30 min) for short logged-in tasks. See the Residential guide.
  • Rotating residential for scraping. The IP changes on every request, which breaks logged-in sessions.
  • Datacenter is cheaper and fixed, but it is not residential. See the Datacenter guide.
  • Do not reuse one static IP across many profiles.

What you need

  • BitBrowser installed and signed in. Menu names can differ a little between versions, and some batch features may depend on your plan.
  • An IPMusk proxy: PROXY_HOST, PORT, USERNAME, PASSWORD.
  • Residential: dashboard → Residential → Connect (/app/residential/connect). Pick country, session type and protocol, then copy the line.
  • Static ISP or Datacenter: dashboard → Static ISP → Proxies (/app/isp/proxies) or Datacenter → Proxies (/app/datacenter/proxies). Open a proxy for its details. The list can be exported.
  • IPMusk signs in with a username and password only. It does not use IP allowlisting.

Add a proxy to one profile

  1. 1
    Add a profile

Open the browser profile list and add a new one, or edit an existing profile.

  2. 2
    Choose Custom proxy

In the proxy section, select the Custom method.

  3. 3
    Pick the protocol

Use HTTP for Static ISP and Datacenter. For residential, choose HTTP or SOCKS5 to match what you picked in IPMusk.

  4. 4
    Enter the details

Paste PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD into the Host field and BitBrowser splits it. Or fill Host, Port, Username and Password one by one.

  5. 5
    Check the proxy

Click the Check Proxy (proxy detection) button. If it works, the IP details appear. Then confirm the profile.

Add many proxies at once

BitBrowser has a Proxy IP page with a Proxy IP Management tab.

  1. 1
    Open Batch Add

Go to Proxy IP → Proxy IP Management and use the Add dropdown to choose Batch Add.

  2. 2
    Write one proxy per line

Use http://PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD for Static ISP and Datacenter. For residential, use http:// or socks5:// to match your protocol. Always type the prefix. A line with no prefix may be saved as SOCKS5.

  3. 3
    Keep batches small

Stay at about 100 lines or fewer per batch, and follow the format hint shown in the pop-up. A wrong format makes the add fail.

  4. 4
    Run batch detection

Then click OK to add the working ones.

  5. 5
    Use them

When creating profiles, choose a proxy from the list instead of typing it.

Line format
http://PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD

Another way: Batch Import of Proxy takes an Excel file. Fill the template with the type (http, https, socks5 or ssh) in one column and Host:Port:Username:Password in another. Browsers has its own Batch Import for profiles that uses a similar template.

Match the fingerprint to the proxy

  • Time zone: turn on automatic time zone matching, so it follows the proxy IP.
  • Language: turn on language synchronization, so it follows the IP.
  • Location: generate it from the IP rather than typing coordinates.
  • WebRTC: set it to Replace so the WebRTC IP matches the proxy. Do not choose Allow.
  • If you change the proxy to another country, re-check these. Labels may differ slightly between versions.

Check it works

  1. 1
    Run Check Proxy

Confirm the IP and country shown.

  2. 2
    Open the profile

Visit an IP-check page. The IP should be the proxy IP.

  3. 3
    Compare locale

The page's time zone and language should fit the proxy country.

  4. 4
    Run a WebRTC test

It must not show your real IP.

  5. 5
    Sign in

Sign in to the account only after these pass.

If it fails

  • Check Proxy fails: copy the values again. A swapped port, username or trailing space is the usual cause.
  • Authentication error: wrong username or password. Copy them again from IPMusk.
  • Timeout or no connection: the protocol is probably wrong. Static ISP and Datacenter use HTTP. If you pasted a bulk line without a prefix, it may have been saved as SOCKS5. Edit it.
  • Wrong country: for residential, pick the country in IPMusk and copy a new line. Static IPs keep their country.
  • Time zone or language off: switch the automatic options back on and reopen the profile.
  • Duplicate not added: BitBrowser skips a proxy that matches an existing one.
  • IP changes during the day: you are on rotating residential. Switch to sticky or Static ISP.
