AdsPower proxy setup

Step-by-step setup for using IPMusk proxies in AdsPower, for one profile or many, with the fingerprint settings that should follow the proxy IP.

Which IPMusk proxy to pick

  • Static ISP for long-lived accounts (stores, ad accounts, social pages). One fixed IP per profile, the same every day. See the Static ISP guide.
  • Sticky residential (30 min) for short logged-in tasks. The IP stays for the session time you choose. See the Residential guide.
  • Rotating residential for scraping and checks. The IP changes on every request, so it can break a logged-in session.
  • Datacenter is cheaper and fixed, but it is not residential. Use it where an IP from a data center is fine. See the Datacenter guide.
  • Give each profile its own static IP. Do not share one across many profiles.

What you need

  • AdsPower installed and signed in, with a profile you can edit. Check the version notes in AdsPower if a setting below is missing.
  • An IPMusk proxy: PROXY_HOST, PORT, USERNAME, PASSWORD.
  • Residential: dashboard → Residential → Connect (/app/residential/connect). Pick country, session type and protocol, then copy the line.
  • Static ISP or Datacenter: dashboard → Static ISP → Proxies (/app/isp/proxies) or Datacenter → Proxies (/app/datacenter/proxies). Open a proxy to see its host, port, username and password.
  • IPMusk signs in with a username and password only. It does not use IP allowlisting.

Add a proxy to one profile

  1. 1
    Open the profile

Click New Profile, or edit an existing profile, and go to the Proxy section.

  2. 2
    Choose the proxy type

Select HTTP for Static ISP and Datacenter. For residential, pick HTTP or SOCKS5 to match the protocol you chose in IPMusk.

  3. 3
    Paste the line

In the Host:Port field, paste PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD. AdsPower splits it into the other fields. You can also type each value yourself.

  4. 4
    Check the proxy

Click Check Proxy. "Connection test passed" means AdsPower reached the proxy. Fix any failure before you save.

  5. 5
    Save

Click OK, then open the profile.

Add many proxies at once

AdsPower has a Proxies section that stores proxies, and profiles can then pick from Saved Proxies.

  1. 1
    Build a list

One proxy per line. Use PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD, or put the protocol first, such as http://PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD or socks5://PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD.

  2. 2
Open Proxies and click Add Proxy

Paste the lines into the box. Keep each batch short, about 100 lines at most.

  3. 3
    Check the type column

After saving, look at the proxy type shown in the list. If a line was saved with the wrong type, edit it.

  4. 4
    Pick them in profiles

In each profile's Proxy section, choose Saved Proxies, or use the random-assign button.

  5. 5
    Bulk check

Tick profiles, open the three-dot menu, choose Proxy, then Check.

Line format
PROXY_HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD

For new profiles in bulk, AdsPower's Bulk Create (txt or Excel template) takes a proxy type plus a proxy value in Host:Port:Username:Password form. Try two or three lines first before pasting a long list.

Match the fingerprint to the proxy

  • Timezone: keep it on Based on IP (the default).
  • Location: keep it on Based on IP (the default).
  • Language: keep it on Based on IP (the default).
  • WebRTC: choose Replace so the WebRTC IP matches the proxy. Disabled also hides it. Do not use Real.
  • Do not change the proxy country later without re-checking these.

Check it works

  1. 1
    Check Proxy

The check in the profile passes.

  2. 2
    Open the profile

Visit an IP-check page. The IP should be the proxy IP, in the country you picked.

  3. 3
    Compare locale

The page's timezone and language should fit that country.

  4. 4
    Run a WebRTC test

It should show the proxy IP or nothing, never your real IP.

  5. 5
    Open the account

Sign in to the account you will use only after the checks pass.

If it fails

  • Connection test failed: re-copy the values. Check for a trailing space or a swapped port and username.
  • Authentication error: the username or password is wrong. Copy them again from IPMusk.
  • Timeout: the protocol may not match. For residential, try HTTP if you chose SOCKS5, or the reverse.
  • Wrong country on the IP check: for residential, change the country in IPMusk and copy a new line. Static IPs keep their country.
  • Timezone or language still looks wrong: reset those fields to Based on IP and reopen the profile.
  • Check passes only on some machines: system-level proxy settings or environment variables can clash with AdsPower. Turn them off.
  • IP keeps changing: you are on rotating residential. Switch to sticky or Static ISP.
